Nissan Saudi Arabia expands counterfeit parts awareness

Nissan Saudi Arabia focuses on raising awareness of the consequences of using counterfeit spare parts, given the risks they may pose to vehicle performance, reliability, and user safety. Its efforts have expanded since 2023, as the company has sought to share its technical expertise in after-sales services with workers and specialists in the spare parts sector outside Nissan’s authorized network, enhancing knowledge of proper practices and supporting the use of genuine, trusted parts.

Awareness Sessions & Training Workshops

Nissan’s efforts have included organizing several awareness sessions and technical training programs focusing on the risks associated with counterfeit spare parts, general indicators that may raise suspicion about their authenticity, as well as procedures for handling suspected cases. These plans help market professionals distinguish between genuine and counterfeit Nissan spare parts.

Since the program was launched, efforts to combat counterfeit spare parts have resulted in the seizure of tens of thousands of non-genuine Nissan spare parts, including 25,765 pieces seized in six cases between May 2025 and September 2026. The seized items included several commonly used spare parts, such as air filters, oil filters, and spark plugs.

Adib Takieddine, Managing Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, said: “Our responsibility to customers extends beyond vehicle delivery. By sharing our expertise with professionals across the spare parts market, we are strengthening awareness and helping them identify suspected counterfeit parts before they reach customers”.

Kamal Al Hajj, Aftersales Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, said: “Customer safety and the performance of every Nissan vehicle as designed are central to our aftersales commitment. We will remain vigilant, strengthen our market monitoring and mystery shopping activities, and work with the relevant authorities to identify suspected counterfeit parts early and disrupt their distribution”.

Nissan Saudi Arabia emphasizes the importance of verifying the source of spare parts when carrying out maintenance work. These efforts help raise customer awareness of the potential risks associated with non-genuine parts and support the long-term safety and efficiency of their vehicles. In addition to this, you can check out the latest car news by visiting Motory Cars News section.
