Ford Racing recently announced the launch of its new Mustang Dark Horse SC, reflecting its continuous commitment to developing high-performance vehicles inspired by the world of racing. This version represents the accumulation of Ford’s track experience, transferred into a vehicle with a more advanced and powerful sporty character.

Track-Inspired Performance
The Mustang Dark Horse SC builds on Ford’s experience in Mustang GT3 racing and GTD technology to deliver a more advanced driving experience than the standard Dark Horse. With stronger performance and more advanced sporty features, it competes directly with European race cars, featuring a supercharged V8 engine and real racing experience.

Mustang Dark Horse SC is the next chapter, drawing on lessons from Mustang GT3 and technology and learnings from Mustang GTD. Comprehensive Performance Development
The Mustang Dark Horse SC underwent a complete development process, focusing on every component, from the engine and transmission, to cooling systems, brakes, suspension tuning, steering response, and wheel setups. The team conducted extensive testing on the world’s most famous tracks, including Sebring and Virginia International, using GTD and GT4 cars as reference standards.
The Mustang Dark Horse SC features a 5.2L supercharged V8 engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for fast and precise shifts, delivering high power and exceptional performance, along with a unique engine sound that reflects Ford’s authentic sporty driving experience.
Additionally, the car is equipped with next-generation MagneRide dampers with stiffer springs, upgraded front and rear bars and joints, enhancing stability and steering response. A magnesium suspension support and forged links reduce weight and improve performance.
The rear suspension geometry and steering system were updated, inspired by the GTD, to give the optional Track Package even greater cornering ability, taking handling to a higher level than the standard Dark Horse.
