The ceremony celebrated 69 graduates of employment linked scholarship programs, including 40 engineers from CEER, highlighting the company’s commitment to developing Saudi talent and supporting automotive sector localization. CEER was also recognized for its role in preparing specialized national capabilities for future industrial and technological fields.

The event also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between CEER and JVIS, aimed at expanding collaboration in developing and attracting national talent. This partnership will enhance Saudi professionals' goals to contribute to the automotive industry, while supporting local content development and the growth of the Kingdom’s industrial ecosystem.

Jim DeLuca, CEO of CEER, commenting on the milestone said: “CEER is truly excited to celebrate the achievements of our WAA’ID graduates. These bright engineers represent the future workforce that will lead Saudi Arabia’s automotive sector for decades to come. Having now moved directly into their permanent, full-time roles with our team, they are already actively in the driver’s seat helping us build the Kingdom’s very first homegrown EV brand. We extend our deepest gratitude to our ministerial partners for their unwavering support in making this career-launching program a reality.”

The WAA’ID track is one of the leading initiatives designed to strengthen alignment between educational outcomes and labor market needs by a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Education, and the private sector. It plans to develop specialized national talent equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to keep pace with rapid industrial advancements and support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

As part of this track, CEER hired 40 promising Saudi engineers last year and enrolled them in an integrated development program combining academic studies and practical training. They spent 6 months at Kettering University in Michigan, USA, followed by 6 months of field training with leading global companies specializing in automotive manufacturing and key vehicle components.

Finally, this step reaffirms CEER’s commitment to continued investment in local talent and enhancing local capabilities in the electric vehicle sector, contributing to the development of an advanced ecosystem that strengthens the kingdom’s position as a regional hub for future mobility manufacturing. You can also check out the latest car news by visiting Motory Cars News section.
