Volvo is rapidly moving toward an all-electric future, having previously stated that it would cease production of gasoline-powered vehicles and limit sales to electric vehicles only by 2030.
Volvo has confirmed this by unveiling the all-electric XC40 Recharge , which features a revamped appearance, as well as a new single motor C40 Recharge model.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge, the company's first electric vehicle, has a redesigned superb & a youthful exterior that looks like the C40 Recharge in some parts, the new restyled Volvo XC40 recharge includes the following:
- New front bumper
- Frameless grille plate
- New paint colors and wheel options
- Pointier headlights ( features Thor's Hammer LED lighting signature)
Inside, the XC40 Recharge gains new technology systems and non-leather upholstery options.
So, what about the new mechanical tweaks?
Volvo offers a single electric motor variant, it's now available on the fully electric C40 Recharge. This new single motor C40 sends power to the front wheels and comes with a 69.0-kWh battery.
Depending on the WLTP cycle, the single electric motor C40 battery offers a claimed range of up to 270 miles (434 km) on a single charge, and it can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 32 minutes by using a fast-charging system.
