Volkswagen unveils another electric van concept at Detroit

Volkswagen unveiled the VW I.D Buzz electric van concept at the Detroit Auto Show 2017, and if the numbers are true then this van might actually be quite the hit when created.

The new VW I.D Buzz concept comes equipped with two electric motors producing 369 hp, which means that the concept van is an AWD vehicle. Acceleration from 0 - 100 km/h is thus achieved within 5 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 160 km/h.

The battery on the VW I.D Buzz concept is a big one, with a capacity of 111 kWh. This capacity is enough to give the van a range of 600 km, which is quite impressive. The batteries can charge 80% within 30 minutes on a fast charger.

According to VW, an entry level, rear wheel drive only model can be made, power will be around 268 and the battery will have a capacity of 83 kWh.

We know that Volkswagen wants to create some 30 EV models by 2025, but this will depend if such vehicles as the VW I.D Buzz concept turn into commercial hits.
