The German manufacturer, Volkswagen, teased us last December with a piece of video of the VW ID.Buzz, but in reality this is not its official name, and the video only shows some snippets of the car, from the LED headlights to the illuminated door handles.
We can also see the word “Soon” all over the screen, which could be an indication that the car will be unveiled early in 2022 after its test drive, and the first production version will reach the US markets in 2023, moreover, in 2025 it will be offered as a self-driving taxi service.
VW is still walking down the same path and teasing us with more photos of the upcoming Microbus, as we can see it leaving the vehicle's plant in Hannover, Germany, for a quick test drive aheda of its official reveal in March 9.
It is worth mentioning that the ID.Buzz is following in the footsteps of the iconic Volkswagen Microbus, and it will use the same platform (MEB) that was used to develop ID.4 and ID.5.
The company also stated that it will provide the markets with two different versions of the ID.Buzz; the cargo version and the Autonomous one with a self-driving system, not to mention that this system is equipped with LiDAR technology that can detect objects from a 400 meter-range to help the car drive smoothly.
