The National Transportation Solutions Company (Petromin NTSC) revealed a strategic partnership with Riyadh Air to introduce its first electric bus. This bus will be used to transport employees and passengers efficiently within the confines of airports in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, this agreement aims to encourage sustainable behaviors among Saudi residents and visitors, not to mention that both parties, NTSC and Riyadh Air, are driven by their commitment to offering environmentally friendly transportation alternatives and reducing harmful carbon emissions.
This strategic partnership involves building the infrastructure needed for the smooth operation and efficient maintenance of these buses, therefore, the NTSC will be installing charging and maintenance stations at these airports to ensure optimal performance.
New Electric Bus Features
These buses can accommodate 44 passengers apart from the driver's seat, and they are equipped with 350 kilowatt-hours batteries, enabling them to travel 270 km per charge.
