The German company Volkswagen has unveiled a smaller and cheaper SUV and it is called Taos model year 2022, and it is considering a sporty vehicle that comes with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The VW Taos will take the likes of Chevy Trailblazer, the, Kia Seltos and, Toyota CH-R in the crowded compact SUV space.
According the sources Taos has a 1400 cc four-cylinder engine, which has 148 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 meters, and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive, as well as a 7-speed DSG transmission with four-wheel drive.
The Taos comes with 8-inch color and touch screen digital displays, a 6.5-inch infotainment system, up to 8-inch SE, and a 10.25-inch SEL, plus the VW play infotainment system.
The car also comes with safety systems including: front collision warning with independent braking, blind spot monitoring, and panoramic sunroof.
The price of the Volkswagen Taos will start at 22,995 USD, equivalent to SAR 121,623.
The car will go on sale next June.
VW will build Taos in Puebla, Mexico, and plans to launch the SUV in the summer of 2021.
