Today, Mazda's CEO declared the formal conclusion of work on the first edition of the iconic car CX 50 in its 2023 version, thus the car has entered the official production line, to be publicly revealed later and delivered to Mazda dealers throughout the global market.
The Mazda CX 50 has been constructed in Mazda-Toyota factory in Alabama, and the variants that both companies aim to make at this plant have been confirmed, with the Toyota Corolla cross and Mazda CX50 being the only models so far.
Mazda has not yet revealed the new version of the CX 50, but it has revealed the car's performance specifics, such as the fact that it will come standard with an I-Active for all-wheel-drive system and configurable driving modes to improve off-road driving.
Also, Mazda confirmed that the CX 50 car will operate with turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Mazda has revealed that hybrid versions of the CX 50 will be available starting in 2023, with electric engines possibly following before 2025.
