On Wednesday, Tesla organized a special event named "Cyber Rodeo" to celebrate the official opening of its Austin/Texas-based facility, which was attended by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who announced several significant decisions that Tesla is planning. As disclosed by Musk, the first of these announcements about the forthcoming versions of Tesla Cybertruck, Roadster, and Semi will formally enter the production phase at the beginning of 2023.
The head of Tesla's design department tested the Cybertruck prototype in front of the event's invited audience, since this was not the first time the Cybertruck model had been attempted, as it had previously been tested in 2019.
It is worth noting that Musk confirmed his previous statement in which he said that Tesla will not create any new vehicles in 2022, since the new models will enter formal production in 2023, as previously stated.
Elon Musk confirmed during the event that both the Tesla Cybertruck and the long-awaited truck will be manufactured at the new plant in Texas, and it is worth noting that the Semi truck is the first of the Tesla brand, which has been unveiled since 2017 and has won widespread acclaim, particularly from the owners of large companies that transport their goods by trucks.
Finally, Musk stated that Tesla is researching the manufacture of completely self-driving cars, as buyers can consider an automated car, and it is worth remembering that Tesla has been in the self-driving car sector since 2016, producing self-driving packages and driver assistance systems.
At the end of these statements, Tesla introduced the first crossover version of the iconic Tesla Model Y, with Musk saying that the manufacturing of this version will be increased by building other factories besides the Texas facility.
