The General Directorate of Traffic has allowed expat returnees who left Saudi Arabia on a final exit visa to apply for replacing their old driving licenses. The Saudi Muroor confirmed that expats can visit the traffic departments to get a new license using their new ID number.
Replacing Driving License
The Muroor has also indicated that if the driving license is expired, the expat has to pay all traffic fines and get a medical check-up in order to be able to apply for a new license.
According to widespread news, Saudi traffic stated that expats who have a visit visa can drive either with an international license or a valid foreign driving license for one year (whichever comes first).
