The Saudi General Department of Traffic (GDT) has launched an online number plate auction service on Monday, November 29, 2021 in all regions of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia through ‘Absher’ Platform.
This step aims to enhance the procedures of vehicle registration plates for Saudi citizens and residents. GDT also stated that the registration process can only be done through ‘Absher Platform’.
Moreover, it noted that the number plates will be sent via the Saudi Post (Sabal) according to the national address. The service will be activated next Wednesday, December 1, 2021. As a result, it will allow citizens to access government services on the internet rather than visiting the departments.
