Nissan and Infiniti have announced a plan to begin producing new electric vehicles at their Nissan Canton facility in Mississippi in 2025.
The duo is expected to feature a Nissan EV and a high-end Infiniti electric car. It's worth mentioning that Infiniti has hinted at the possibility of an electric car since 2012, but has yet to unveil one, so everyone is waiting for it.
Based on the teaser images that have been released, it appears that the cars from both manufacturers will feature a coupe-like crossover appearance.
The next Nissan car to enter the market will be the 2023 Aria crossover, which will go on sale this autumn. Nissan has not yet disclosed the models that will follow the Aria in the near future, but it has stated that it is working on numerous models that will be unveiled later, as planned.
Nissan expects electric cars to account for 40% of its sales by 2030, including new plug-in hybrids and hybrids, and Nissan and Infiniti will introduce about 23 new models, 15 of which will be fully electric.
