The Lexus RC , the Sports Coupe debuted at the 2014 Tokyo Motor Show, where it came with a prominent and sharp coupe look. As for the next generation of Lexus RC, the car will come as a coupe concept for road and sports racing.
“It won't be long before we get a more dynamic next-generation Lexus Coupe designed to focus on racing, RC design is Influenced by the new Toyota GR GT3 design that was shown earlier this year” David Wilson stated, the Toyota Racing Development President in a recent interview by Car & Driver magazine.

"It's fairly safe to connect the dots and suggest that that could be a precursor to the next global GT3 car for Lexus," Wilson told the magazine, "As we know, the current RC F GT3 race car shares its body with the road car" he added.
Toyota Gazoo Racing claimed they plan to "use feedback and technologies refined through participation in various motorsports activities to develop both GT3 and mass-production cars." when the GR GT3 concept debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon last month. They also mentioned sustainability, which leads us to believe that an electrified powertrain is in the process.
Wilson hinted that a running prototype of the GR GT3 concept is slated to be completed by the end of the year.
