Mitsubishi indicated in late July 2020 that it will stop its activities in Europe by not introducing any new models; however, the firm has modified its plans and recently disclosed its intention to bring out the new ASX in early 2023, which would be accompanied later that year by the all-new Colt. The ASX will be produced on the chassis of the Renault Captur version since it will be developed in partnership with the French brand Renault at its facilities in France, while the Colt version will be made on the chassis of another Renault Clio model.
Releave revealed photos of the future Colt, revealing a distinct front-end hatchback with sharp-shaped daytime running lights that intersect in the center with the front grille, which has the Mitsubishi logo in bright silver.
The presence of a "Hybrid EV" badge on the exterior design indicated that the Colt 2023 will be equipped with an electric powertrain and a gasoline engine, so estimates indicate that Mitsubishi will provide a colt with a 1.6-liter engine with an electric engine to produce a total power of up to 140 hp.
Finally, the frim confirmed that it is eager for success and a strong return to European markets with the ASX and Colt 2023 versions.
