MG Motor has launched the all-new MG 8 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) in the Middle East, starting a new path for the brand in the region. As MG’s first mid-size PHEV sedan in the Middle East, the MG 8 features a sleek design, comfortable interior, and advanced technology. It offers a record-breaking hybrid range of up to 1,650 km and 125 km of full electric driving.
Earlier this year, MG 8 set a Guinness World Record for the longest distance driven by a PHEV, traveling 2,208 km on one tank and full charge, using just 2.49 L of fuel per 100 km. This shows the brand’s focus on efficiency without losing performance.

The MG 8 PHEV is built for the Middle East, tested in extreme heat for durability and consistent performance. It meets GSO and SASO standards, reflecting MG’s commitment to top quality as well as safety.

The all-new MG 8 PHEV shows MG’s style of elegance with a bold, modern look. Its wide grille, sharp LED headlights, fog lamps, and connected LED tail lights give it a strong presence. With a 2,810 mm wheelbase, the sedan stands out with a smooth style, and carefully designed details, making it both stylish and sophisticated.
The Interior of MG 8 PHEV
Inside, the all-new MG 8 PHEV offers a luxurious, executive-style interior. It features premium leather, dual 12.3-inch screens, a sunroof, and comfortable zero-gravity seats. With plenty of space, including 933mm of rear legroom, and refined details, the MG 8 PHEV combines style and comfort for every ride.
MG 8 PHEV Engine
The new car comes with a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid engine, producing 201 hp and 330 Nm of torque. It features MG’s DMH Super Hybrid technology, which balances electric and gasoline power. With this system, the car delivers smooth, powerful performance while maintaining high fuel efficiency.

MG 8 PHEV Trims
The new MG 8 PHEV will be offered in 2 trims, featuring a complete package of design, comfort, technology, and safety.
- STD Trim: Starting at $24,900 USD, it comes with a 1.5-liter engine, LED headlights and fog lights, 17-inch wheels, dual digital screens, a 6-speaker audio system, front and rear USB ports, automatic air conditioning with rear vents, a power driver’s seat, leather steering wheel, multiple airbags, parking sensors, and a regenerative braking system.
- COM Trim: The higher-end trim starts at $27,400 USD and also has a 1.5-liter engine. It adds 18-inch wheels, curtain airbags, a 360-degree camera, power-folding mirrors, a ventilated driver’s seat with memory, a 4-way power passenger seat, while retaining all comfort and smart connectivity features.
Finally, the MG 8 PHEV reflects the brand’s aim to redefine mobility in the region. By combining hybrid technology with modern design, this car sets a new standard for modern sedans.
