The Maserati Boomerang was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show on March 9, 1972, 50 years ago today. Although the car was never produced, many consider it a piece of art rather than a concept, and when it was originally presented at the Geneva Motor Show, it was equipped with an engine and a gearbox set, and it has since been shown at more than one exhibition.

Maserati Boomerang Maserati created a boomerang based on the Bora chassis, with an 8-cylinder 4.7-liter letter-shaped engine producing 310 horsepower and reaching a high speed of 300 km/h. The most distinguishing aspect of the Maserati Boomerang is its dashboard design, in which the steering wheel and instrument cluster are combined into a single control unit, which still draws the attention of many people today.

It's worth noting that the Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro is one of Italy's most prominent designers who developed car designs such as the 1959 Ferrari GT 250, Volkswagen Golf MK1.
