Lucid Debuts Air Grand Touring Performance in Two Versions & Terrific Specs

On Tuesday of this week, Lucid debuted a new version of the luxury electric vehicle called the Grand Touring Performance, which has slightly less horsepower than the previous Dream Edition Performance but costs far more.

This edition includes two new all-electric sedan models, the Grand Touring and the Grand Touring Performance.

Lucid Air Grand Touring customer deliveries are already in progress; deliveries of the new Grand Touring Performance model begin in June 2022, and the number of Grand Tourings will be unlimited, unlike the current Grand Touring models, the sold-out Lucid Air Dream Edition, limited to 520 units.

The engine & performance specs of the first version, which is the Grand Touring provide 819 horsepower, and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds, with a range of up to 469 miles. The car came with solid 21-inch wheels, and for more range, the customer can switch to 19-inch wheels to get a range "EPA-estimated" of up to 516 miles.

While the Grand Touring vehicle has a significant performance of 1050 horsepower, with 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and a range of 446 miles, the car will be available with 21-inch wheels.

Other specs in both versions:

• Dual-motor
• AWD
• Ultra-fast 900V+ charging system, enabling users to add up to 300 miles in 21 minutes at a 350 kW DC fast charger.

As the company's new flagship, Grand Touring models are equipped with a wide and integrated set of innovative systems as standard, the list of which includes the following:

• Glass Canopy spanning windshield to roof
• Elegant and intuitive Lucid UX
• 34-inch floating Glass Cockpit and 5K resolution
• Infotainment board
• Audio system with 21 speakers
• Heated and ventilated massage seats (front only)
• Lucid's DreamDrive Pro suite of driver assistance features including LiDAR range control

As for the prices, the price of the Air Grand Touring starts at 139,000 US Dollars, which is equivalent to 521,458 SAR, and the Air Grand Touring Performance model starts at 179,000 US Dollars, which is equivalent to 671,518 SAR, which means that the prices of these cars are more than 10,000 US Dollars From previous Dream Edition models.

Notably, Lucid still has two more models to add to its Air lineup; The entry-level Air Pure model and the mid-range Air Touring model, these additional models will start arriving next year.
