Lucid planned to have its first showroom in Saudi Arabia in the first months of 2022, and the company said it is now finishing the preparations for the showroom's formal opening, which is likely to be approved in the first quarter of this year.
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a goal for Lucid since it owns a significant portion of the company's stock, and it also ranks second in the world in terms of pre-orders for lucid cars, which are placed through lucid pop-up studio in Riyadh's Kingdom Tower.
According to reports, Lucid is expected to establish its new factory in the new city of NEOM, which is presently under construction in the kingdom's north-west, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) covering the majority of the building costs.
So far, the only certainty is that lucid plans to launch its Lucid Air electric car in the Middle East this year, with plans to expand to Europe and China over the next two years.
