Lucid Air has reserved its seat for being one of the most innovative electric cars, but is it really? And can it knock off Tesla Model S Plaid from being the best electric vehicle? Let’s see.
In order to know how well the car performs, a member of the DragTimes channel on Youtube went to Hennessey Performance for a test drive.
Hence, the Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance was chosen for this test. It is equipped with a pair of electric motors that can output 1,111 hp, furthermore, this car can accelerate from 0 - 96 KM/ Hour in 2.5 seconds with the top speed at 270 KM/ Hour.
During the test, the driver managed to get the car to accelerate from 0 - 96 KM/ Hour in 2.9 seconds, which is a little less than what the company said about it, and in the Quarter-mile time test, the car recorded a time of 10.9 seconds and then 10.04 seconds, which are both significant numbers.
The Lucid Air Dream Edition did not beat the Tesla Model S Plaid nonetheless, the company is working on building a tri-motor to enhance its performance in upcoming tests.
