Toyota has finally unveiled the 2022 Land Cruiser which has conquered a wide audience around the world and especially in Saudi Arabia as it has been able to carve out a niche in the off-road SUVs with its heritage of achievements now spanning 70 years and more than 10 million sales across 170 countries and regions.
The Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer “Toyota” has added many luxuries and improvements to the new Land Cruiser that have enhanced its efficiency and ability to overcome any obstacles that might come up while driving. Also, Toyota has proudly claimed that this vehicle can "go anywhere and everywhere, and bring you back safe and well”.
The Engine
Under the hood, Land Cruiser 2022 will come with a standard 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged engine with 409 horsepower and a maximum torque of 649 Nm paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and features full-time four-wheel drive.
The new Land Cruiser was redesigned to be more durable and functional as Toyota claimed that the new model will include an impressive weight loss of 200Kg so its current weight is 2.619 Kg. ِAnd not only the weight distribution has been improved but also, new suspension systems have been introduced in order to provide smooth and easy off-road driving. Moreover, the center of gravity was lowered making the car less likely to tip over in extreme situations.
The Exterior
The exterior was clearly revised which we've seen in previously leaked images by expressing a new concept called “functional beauty” to be able to combine functionality as well as adding aesthetic features to the design that will help to set the new Cruiser apart from other SUVs. The company put a lot of emphasis on the exterior by improving the grill to make it look blockier which gives the car more definition and excitement while offering three different front ends and two horizontal grille slats. Also, the Collision Avoidance System has been upgraded to be able to recognize vehicles crossing at intersections and can intervene with the steering wheel to avoid collisions with vehicles, objects, and pedestrians.
