Since the introduction of the first model of Kia Sportage in the mid-1990s, it has been regarded as the ideal icon of luxury, safety, and power; as a result, Sportage has gotten a lot of attention from KIA, which is constantly working to develop new generations of Sportage by supporting its platforms to present the best versions.
The Sportage 2023 on the platform of the N3, the same platform that supports the elder Sorento, was the first production car from the Sportage 2023 generation at the Kia plant-based in West Point, Georgia.
The first car recently rolled off the production line, painted in Jungle Green and fitted with the X-Pro Prestige trim package.
It's worth noting that the new Kia Sportage was introduced by Kia North America's director and CEO, making it the newest addition to Georgia's SUV production line.
Expressing the importance of Kia Sportage to the brand, the CEO of Kia North America said: “Joining our tremendous fleet of SUVs, the all-new Sportage is poised to take the industry by storm with its cutting-edge design, adventurous capability, and desirable in-car technology”
To give Kia Sportage customers additional options, the Korean carmaker has unveiled the Sportage hybrid at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021, which features a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a 44-kW electric motor with a combined power output of 226 horsepower.
Kia will round off its celebration of the new Sportage 2023 by expressing its high ambitions for record sales numbers following the car's formal debut.
