Kia company did produce one of the best EVs in the world in terms of engine specs, interior, and exterior designs, the reason why the 2022 Kia EV6 was named 2022 European Car of the Year.
The 2022 Kia EV6 has managed to beat its six rivals in the final with 279 points. list of competitors included many vehicles with conventional engines under their hood, as well as vehicles that are offered in both ICE and EV variants. More specifically, 18 out of the 39 competitors were EVs, but just six made the cut to the final.

The following include car names that got the first seventh places at the 2022 European Car of The Year Ceremony:
- Kia EV6 : 279 Points
- Renault Megane E-Tech : 265 Points
- Hyundai Ioniq 5 : 261 Points
- Peugeot's 308 : 191 Points
- Škoda Enyaq : 185 Points
- Ford Mustang Mach-e :150 Points
- Cupra born : 144 points
The European Car of the Year award was announced during the Geneva Motor Show Event, despite the fact it was canceled, yet the ceremony was live-streamed on YouTube for everyone to see.
The 59th edition of the European Car of the Year honors featured a jury of 59 members. The Rover 2000 received the inaugural edition of the European Car of the Year award in 1964.
