Fifth Gear (the show that is currently the only motoring show worth watching on TV) asked and subsequently answered a question that many wondered, and that is the following: What happens if you put the wrong fuel into your car. i.e diesel into benzene and vice versa?

If you ask a mechanic they will quickly answer by saying you will need to replace a long list of parts; however, according to Fifth Gear, that might be a little too much.
The results of putting the wrong fuel sometimes takes a little time to be felt because the fuel system already has some residual fuel from before, but after a few kilometers you can see the cars will stop.
According to Fifth Gear, simply putting the right fuel inside the tank and trying to turn on the car several times will make your car return to normal!
So there you have it, if you put the wrong fuel inside your car, the first thing you do is stop it, take the fuel out of the tank, then put in the right fuel and you are set to go again!
