Honda Pilot has secured the prestigious 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), thanks to its outstanding performance in various safety evaluations. The car excelled in Crash Worthiness, pedestrian front crash prevention, and headlight performance, earning top ratings across these categories. Moreover, the introduction of enhanced rear seat belts significantly improved second-row passenger protection in IIHS' updated moderate overlap front test.

The car also features Honda's innovative front passenger airbag, which utilizes a three-chamber design initially introduced in the Civic.
