Ford Teases New Holman Moody-Inspired GT Heritage Edition

The Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition will be the next legendary special model to celebrate the supercar's past. In doing so, the GT40 that came in third at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans features a distinctive multi-color design.

The new Special Edition model features a body that includes a gold, white and red paint scheme, and the number five that graced the car which completed Ford's podium at the legendary 1966 endurance race. Ford has said that this new special edition will be available this spring of 2022.

It's worth mentioning that the Holman Moody company is Founded in 1957 by John Holman and Ralph Moody to manufacture American racing cars in North Carolina. when Ford decided to join the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, it turned to Holman Moody to help prepare the GT40.

Those were the teased photos of the Ford GT40 that's been shared on Ford's Twitter account. Ford hasn't given more details about the modern Heritage Edition GT, but stay tuned for more information about this car in the coming weeks.
