Despite current challenges mostly in the electric vehicle production industry and the resulting increase in the price of electric vehicles, Tesla continues to see increased demand for all types of electric cars. Tesla relieved the load on reservations while releasing its 2021 sales estimates, reaffirming its position as the most dominant electric car manufacturer currently.
It is worth mentioning that Tesla has lately been criticized for hiking car pricing by significant amounts; for example, the Y Long Range model is the least costly and costs at least $62,900.
Despite the significant price increase, Tesla has rescheduled the delivery dates of all versions due to the number of orders, particularly the Tesla Model Y, as anyone who places a new order on Tesla cars is told that they will be delivered next year between the scheduled period of January to April.
It should also be highlighted that other models, including the Tesla X and Tesla S, are seeing a rise in the number of orders and are being planned in accordance with the new dates, which are also depending on the specifications required by the customers.
Tesla's plans for new factories continue to expand, as Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently opened the Tesla factory in Berlin / Germany, followed by declarations that the next opening will be for the production plant that is still under construction and located in Austin / Texas, in order to achieve greater productivity.
