The Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia has announced today that they will allow merchants to import certain used car parts and sell them in the Saudi markets such as the differential and the gearbox.
The authority will basically allow merchants to import main parts such as engines and gearboxes with the only exception is for these parts to have a certain designation like the word “refurbished” engraved on it in a way that cannot be disguised.
It is worth noting that the customs authority did not allow the import of used car parts, with the exception of gearboxes and exterior body panels. The customs authority also did not allow the import of used cars older than 5 years or those involved in car accidents.
