After speculations spread earlier this month that the Mazda CX-50 will be among the new SUVs that Mazda wants to release by 2023, early pictures of the Mazda CX-50 surfaced a few days ago.
Notably, Mazda emphasized that the CX-50 was created to give a new version of its SUV range rather than a replacement for the smaller CX-5, which is similar to the earlier notion that Mazda put forth when it released the CX-30 as a larger version of the CX-3.
According to automotive news websites, the revealed photos depict the Mazda CX-50 in part, but the official photos will be released by next month.
Mazda will follow a new design language for the CX-50, which is based on the Kodo design language which is used in sedans, so Mazda's plan is to combine the design of the SUV with the sedan.

As mentioned earlier, Mazda will have similar mechanical specifications to its previous Mazda CX-3 and CX-30 versions, which means it will have a standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive, with a 2.5-liter turbo engine that produces up to 250 hp, 434 N/ M of torque.
