General Motors has previously announced its plans in pushing towards an EV future, specifically with the Cadillac brand, as a result; The first-ever 2023 Cadillac Lyriq went off the production line in Spring Hill, Tennessee, USA, on Monday, March 21, 2022, of this week.
GM has announced on Monday that the 2023 Cadillac Lyric EV is currently under production at the GM plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, USA.
"The Cadillac Lyriq sets the standard for the future of Cadillac and marks another major milestone in GM's commitment to an all-electric future." Mark Reuss, the GM President stated about the first-ever EV Lyriq.

According to GM, the demand is quite high - which means that over 240 thousand buyers have shown interest in purchasing the new Cadillac Lyriq. General Motors expects many of them to become real buyers when pre-orders for the Cadillac Lyriq resume on May 19.
“That’s why we don’t do bookings anymore" Rory Harvey, Cadillac’s vice president of global sales, said. "We will immediately start pre-ordering on May 19th” he added.
According to the manufacturer, the pricing of the 2023 Cadillac Lyric will start at $59,990, which is equivalent to 225,047 SAR. Cadillac will begin taking additional orders for the 2023 LYRIQ on May 19.
The 2023 Lyriq will first be available as a Debut Edition with a 100.4 kWh battery, RWD, and an EPA range of 300 miles, and a Super Cruise autonomous driving system.
The 2023 Lyriq interior received a large 33-inch display that extends from the driver's left side to the middle of the instrument panel, as well as a Road-noise Active Noise Control (RANC) technology, and other features that will be unveiled later.
It's worth noting that the 2023 Cadillac Lyric will compete with a range of new coming luxury EVs, including the upcoming BMW iX SUV and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
