Mercedes has launched Mercedes-AMG GT for 2022 with additional elements and new technical innovations. When competing with Porsche, Audi, and BMW, it is essential to upgrade tech features while maintaining a fresh appearance to the car. However, as indicated in some reports, Mercedes has stated that the new AMG GT has more of a 'lifestyle' update and therefore, it will focus more on practical advantages and everyday use. Besides, Mercedes added a brand new “Manufaktur” exclusive edition as well as some additional color options.
The 43 and 53 models will have the same turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engines to generate 428 horsepower and as for the V8-powered models, Mercedes has stated that engine information will be released at a later date.
The damping systems in the car have been improved by adding more precise adjustments to the damping force, so that they operate independently in accordance with different driving conditions and drive modes which helps to maintain the vehicle's stability when driving at high speeds, thus providing greater smoothness while driving. Also, Mercedes says that the new suspension will be able to analyze data from the wheel sensors and the accelerator to adjust the damping force and therefore having a better performance.
Mercedes-AMG GT has the same classic appearance featuring prominent curved sides, big exhausts, protruding wheel arches, thin LED taillights and the wide rear that adds an element of luxury and elegance to the car. Plus, there are three newly added exterior paint colors for the AMG GT: Spectral Blue Metallic, Spectral Blue Magno, and Cashmere White Magno.
All versions will have the AMG Performance steering wheel that is well known for keeping the car safe on the road at all times. Buyers can choose from Nappa leather or Nappa with Dynamic suede for the wheel itself, also it will be heated as standard.
The AMG GT's new "Manufaktur” exclusive edition features an attractive red paint with silver chrome accents, and 21-inch wheels, while the interior will be offered with distinctive wooden designs, Gray Napa leather seats, and the famous AMG Performance steering wheel.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door will go on sale sometime later this fall. However, the company hasn't released any details about the prices yet, but as some reports expected, the price will start from 89,900 USD which is equivalent to 337,100 SAR.
