Ford made the official full unveiling for the first time of the 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition at the Chicago Auto Show after the Ford GT was in its last year of production, but the American carmaker Ford had another special edition in its sleeve. The Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage 2022 was revealed, especially after the Ford audience was wondering about the latest Ford GT a few months ago, prompting the company to reveal it.
The limited-edition model pays tribute to Alan Mann Racing's lightweight racing prototypes from 1966, as well as highlights the role of prototypes in the development of race-winning GTs.
The No. 16 graphics' red and gold livery with Frozen White highlights is based on the 1966 Ford AM GT-1 prototype, which will be on display alongside the current version.

In addition, the 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition features exposed carbon fiber on the aero components, reflecting Alan Mann Racing's commitment to lightweight materials.
2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition also features the following:
- carbon-fiber 20-inch wheels
- Brembo brake calipers are painted in black and red
On the steering wheel, instrument panel, headliner, pillars, and seats, there is lots of exposed carbon fiber coupled with black Ebony Alcantara upholstery.
The headrests are embossed with the GT logo and have gold and red stitching. The dashboard has modest gold accents, and the paddle shifters are finished in Alan Mann Red.
The 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition is the seventh model from the Heritage Edition series, which includes many models as the 2019 Ford GT ’68 Gulf Livery (50 units), 2020 Ford GT ’69 Gulf Livery (50 units), 2021 Ford GT ’66 Daytona.
According to what Ford declared, unlike the previous models, this model which is the 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition will be produced in limited numbers. Ford says that it's already available for “approved Ford GT customers”, with the first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
